Eveline van Wanrooij - One Tough Lady :-)

In november 2005, we had the honour to be present at the formal introduction of the book 'Taai' (in English: 'Tough') written by Eveline van Wanrooij. Eveline has helped Hi Phi Phi tremendously as volunteer in the last year. Her energy and commitment were incredible. But also her ability to generate continuing support from friends and family back home were of great value to remain focus on the island's needs and wishes. We are proud to known her as good friend.

In her book, Eveline describes in an easy-to-read manner about her experiences as backpacker and volunteer in Thailand. With serious scenes, inner reflection and hilarious sections as well, we can recommend it for all who have the ability to read in Dutch. During her stay in Thailand, Eveline also overwon cancer, and she speaks open heartedly about what she has gone through.

On the presentation evening, her friends and family also brought a welcome suprise: on Phi Phi Eveline met the Love of her Life .... without her knowing it, he suddendly stepped into the room to make the party complete!
