Press information

These past months, we had the pleasure to meet many press representatives.

These contacts were essential for Phi Phi's recovery. By informing others in this world on the activities that are undertaken in the community, awareness is created on the situation and the island's progression. We therefore are thankful for this coverage and interest.

In case you have any questions, please write to us and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Tourist information release

Since tourism is down by 90%, the island's economy is in a very fragile position. We need the support of travel agencies around the world to tell that Phi Phi is open again. This document was written for this specific purpose.

The 24th June Carnival

On June 24th 2005 Koh Phi Phi celebrated its 'Return to Paradise' with a spectacular carnival on Loh Dalum beach. The events were initiated to reflect the positive outlook of the island towards the future, and to thank all that helped to reopen the island for tourism again in less than 180 days after the tsunami. This document reflects the 'flavour of the day'. Photo impressions can also be found here.

The Ten Commandments of Behaviour

At Phi Phi, cultures meet. The Thai culture has rich tradition of kindness and respect. As guests in this country, it is important to learn about values and customs. By listening, understanding and friendships emerge. These documents are given to volunteers that come to offer their help.

Phi Phi poster

A small-sized 'poster' was made to have a simple means of informing others that Phi Phi is open, but that help still is needed for the future.
