We are proud of all inititiaves that are undertaken to support the Phi Phi people on their way to recovery. The warmth and involvement of these individuals and organizations in helping the community is impressive. It displays the true value of Koh Phi Phi and its people. A unique, international landmark where cultures and believes mix, as natural as can be.

To all who enable these steps to be taken: our compliments and regards!

John and Jessica Staël von Holstein are doing a tremendous job at helping the people of Phi Phi.

Johan was there for the first time 25 years ago and has since returned more or less yearly. First as back packer and later as a father of a family. He is currently with the Phi Phi community, while Jessicia is in Sweden to coordinate her contribution to their fundraising efforts. And with success!

The Western Residents are our special friends. Their Paradise Found Project is founded by ex pat residents most of which work at Visa Diving Center, Phi Phi Island. They have lost a valuable member of staff and dear friend, Matthew McComish and many of their thai friends who work on Phi Phi.

Through their efforts, the children day care center is built. Read more about these special people at www.paradisefoundproject.net

The Friends of Phi Phi Association was formed in the wake of the tsunami. With the majority of the larger aid organisations focusing their great efforts on immediate aid, they decided to work with the local people of Koh Phi Phi.

Over the past months, Riley Batchelor and the other members of their board raised an impressive amount to assist the community in the next steps towards Phi Phi's future.

You can find all information on the Friends of Phi Phi at their website.

Paul Smyth, has lived and worked in Thailand for over 6 years. In that time he made many friends, and settled down with his young family.

At www.phiphifriends.org.uk you can read all about his efforts to help his Phi Phi friends, such as Jackie's family.

His spirit is impressive. We're sure that his
T-shirts will become legendary.

A United Sihks team along with “Me Tha Thum” and Thai Sikhs went to Krabi where the survivors from Phi Phi were gathered.

Drs. Baljinder Singh, Sagina Kaur and Jasvir Kaur provided medical assistance to over 100 people, most of whom were women and children. Their presence was valued tremendously by the community. It was an honor to meet these special people.

Nikos and Sabine from Help Koh Phi Phi were at the island the moment the wave struck. Ever since they have done impressive work to raise awareness and funds for the recovery of Phi Phi. They've appeared in various television and radio programs, but also have been back to the community itself to provide support where and when needed most. True friends they've become.
