Support to the orphan children of Phi Phi

Sriphong Phukaoluan Foundation

The Sriphong Phukaoluan Foundation ('the Krabi Relief Fund') was established in 1995 by the major of Krabi to provide support to underprivileged children in the Province.

Due to the tragic events of the dec. 26th Tsunami, many children have lost their parents, family and homes. Being a Krabi based foundation, they have used their experience to provide aid to the children. For more information please visit their website at www.krabirelief.com

Through this foundation it is possible to ensure that equal chances for education and upbringing of these children remain to exist.

Support to the Phi Phi school

PhiPhi Island School Education Fund

This fund was initiated by the school supervisor of Phi Phi with the intention to raise funds for the reopening of the island's school

Donations will be used for the purchase of educational materials, and the general reconstrudction of the building and interior. Since many parents of children have lost their income base due to the tsunami, the fund also aims to find financial support for small scholarships.

All activities regarding this fund will be supervised directly by Ms. Sukdee, the Phi Phi school supervisor.

Practical and long term support

PhiPhi Island Tsunami Relief Fund

This fund was established by combined effort of the local Phi Phi people.The donations are used for direct, financial support to the community - for instance for the purchase of necessary daily items such as babymilk, fruit and so forth. But also this fund will, after the cleaning of the island, help local shops owners with micropayment financing to ensure that their business can be restarted.The board consists of respected, local members of the community.
